Introduction to Microcontroller
Basic of Microcontroller
A microcontroller (sometimes abbreviated µC, uC or MCU) is a small computer on a single integrated circuit containing a processor core, memory, and programmable input/output peripherals.

Fiber Optic Communication  1 2 3
The course is a basic course on fiber optic communication. Various components of an FOC system are studied in this course. First, the optical fiber characteristics are studied and different types of optical fibers are introduced. Signal distortion on optical fibers is investigated subsequently. Theoritical and experimental aspects of optical sources like LEDs and Lasers are discussed further. Semiconductor based optical detectors are studied and analysis of optical links is presented. Advanced topics like the DWDM systems, fiber amplifiers etc are discussed towards the end of the course.
Computer Maintenance & Troubleshooting
For the smooth functioning of computer system it is frequently required to upkeep, maintain, repair, troubleshoot and take up preventive maintenance of the system and its peripheral devices. Therefore it is essential for the students to acquire skills in the area of computer maintenance and troubleshooting and its preventive maintenance. This Notes is focused on developing skills in installation and configuration of Operating systems, loading and configuring various device drivers, diagnosing the faults and troubleshoots the computer at software level as well as component level. This course will be helpful for students to get employment in the computer maintenance industry as well as self employment.

Introducing Basic Network Concepts
Networks are everywhere or so it seems. You can hardly do anything with data that does not involve a network. Like the human networks that we are all part of, computer networks let us share information and resources. In business, the reliance on networks is even more pervasive than in homes or schools. Networks help individuals and businesses alike save money, but they also help create income. Without a doubt, networking within the home will catch on over the next few years as it has in business. Soon, nearly all individuals in even moderately developed nations will have networked components throughout their homes. Those that don’t will be netologically disadvantaged because they will not be able to learn or to function at the same level as those who are networked.

Mobile Communication    Note: 1, 2, 3,
There are a variety of wireless communication systems for transmitting voice, video, and data in local or wide areas. There are point-to-point wireless bridges, wireless local area networks, multidirectional wireless cellular systems, and satellite communication systems. This topic discusses "mobile" wireless technologies that provide voice and data communication services to mobile users who use cell phones, PDAs, Internet terminals, and related computing devices. Refer to "Wireless Communications" for a list of related wireless topics. The number of wireless mobile devices is increasing globally. Users equipped with portable computers, PDAs (personal digital assistants), and a variety of small wireless communication devices increasingly need to connect to corporate networks, perform database queries, exchange messages, transfer files, and even participate in collaborative computing. At the same time, wireless systems are achieving higher data rates to support Internet and other data-related applications. The newest mobile communication systems are targeting data rates as high as 2 Mbits/sec

ELECTRONIC COMPONENTS & PRACTICE- Question Bank
This course is intended to help the students to get clear idea of fundamentals of electronic components and
develop practical skills in using various types of electronic components employed in electronic industries.
It will also make the students familiar with the suitability of various electronics components for different
applications. More over this course is intended to develop skills of testing components that will be really
needed for the project and setting up of many experiments in other basic and applied technology courses.

Basic Electronics-3320701
Electronics is an integral part of computers; hence students of computer engineering and information technology need to know the fundamental of electronics. This course has been designed to provide the needful inputs to handle simple electronic components and circuits. Students after studying this course will be able to understand the basics of analog electronics, various electronics components and develop skills to use simple electronic instruments needed for computer-based working environment.
These notes are helpful to reader regarding the syllabus which are covered in university.

Antenna & Wave Propagation - 3331101
Antennas play vital role in wireless communication as a terminal component of transmitter and receiver systems. The quality of signal at receiver depends on type of transmitting and receiving antennas, their orientation, transmitting frequency and geographical terrain. For installation & maintenance of wireless systems, the basic knowledge of wave propagation theory is essential and the technician is required to handle a variety of antennas. This course will help the students to select an antenna of desired operating frequency.
Network Management and Administration- Chapter 1,2
To access remote programs, data, and hardware resources lying either on the same organization’s computers or from other enterprises or public sources for resource sharing, e-commerce, use of social network etc, connecting the IT resources is the prime requirement of today. The computer networks provide communication possible. In this scenario the management and administration of network in effective manner becomes an important aspect. The course introduces students to the fundamentals of network management, primarily for TCP/IP networks. The students of this course will be able to design, install, configure and experience hands-on management of typical network components. They will also be able to administer and manage the network. After learning this course student will be employable in the industry working in the area of network installation and management or they can start their own business providing hardware and software solutions to different organization in the area of networking.

ISDN Overview
Integrated Services for Digital Network (ISDN) is a set of communication standards for simultaneous digital transmission of voice, video, data, and other network services over the traditional circuits of the public switched telephone network. It was first defined in 1988 in the CCITT red book. Prior to ISDN, the telephone system was viewed as a way to transport voice, with some special services available for data. The key feature of ISDN is that it integrates speech and data on the same lines, adding features that were not available in the classic telephone system. There are several kinds of access interfaces to ISDN defined as Basic Rate Interface (BRI), Primary Rate Interface (PRI), Narrowband ISDN (N-ISDN), and Broadband ISDN (B-ISDN).

Satellite Communication system-1
Satellite Communication System-2
There are two major classes of communications satellites. The first class is called the “passive satellite”. This type of satellite only redirects the signal coming from the source, and points in the direction of the receiver. With passive satellites, the transmitting signal has the tendency to be weak. In these notes we covered the basic concept of satellite communication. The basic principle of kepler's law are described in notes. how many types of orbit are there in satellite launching system. Most of the visual concept are covered in the video page of these site.

Orbit and Launching Methods
An orbit is the gravitationally curved path of an object around a point in space, for example the orbit of a planet around the center of a star system, such as the Solar System. Orbits of planets are typically elliptical. But unlike the ellipse followed by a pendulum or an object attached to a spring, the central sun is at a focal point of the ellipse and not at its centre.  Also explained about the types of launch vehicle and types of launching methods.

Basic of Spacecraft
Sending humans into deep space isn't practical -- yet. But we can send a robot -- a spacecraft that observes, listens, and processes information and commands. A spacecraft listens to our commands through its antenna and radio receiver, and sends images and science data back to Earth. The spacecraft's brain is a computer, which controls the scientific instruments. On its journey, the spacecraft needs fuel for its engines to burn -- a large engine is used for big changes such as entering orbit; and small thrusters fine-tune the direction. The probe did not need fuel --- it was released and captured by gravity as it plunged into Jupiter's atmosphere.

DTH
DTH stands for Direct-To-Home television. DTH is defined as the reception of satellite programmes with a personal dish in an individual home. DTH does away with the need for the local cable operator and puts the broadcaster directly in touch with the consumer. Only cable operators can receive satellite programmes and they then distribute them to individual homes. How does DTH work? How does DTH really differ from cable TV?

Multimedia Communication-Unit-4,5 Part-1 , Multimedia Communication-Unit-4,5 Part-2
